Northeastern law school sends erroneous acceptance letters

Law school sends thousands of acceptance letters to applicants by mistake

Northeastern University sent out 205 erroneous acceptance letters to applicants for next year’s law school class. The inaccurate acceptance letters were also sent to 3,930 previous applicants from last year. A statement from Northeastern noted this as a technical error and said that the admissions decisions are not finalized until later in the academic year. Clarification emails were sent to the applicants, and the school is conducting individual outreach to applicants with further concerns, the university said. “The School of Law deeply regrets this unintended mistake and is taking steps to ensure that it will not happen in the future,” a Northeastern spokesperson wrote in a statement.
